2.3 File Processing

Important: Nanivolt processes files entirely in your browser (client-side) whenever possible. This means:

• Your files are NOT uploaded to our servers during compression
• All processing happens locally on your device
• We cannot access the content of your files

For Pro users who opt into file history storage, compressed files may be temporarily stored in secure cloud storage for re-download purposes. You can delete these files at any time from your dashboard.

We use the information we collect to:

• File History: Free users' file history is retained for 7 days. Pro users' file history is retained indefinitely unless deleted by the user.

• Deleted Data: When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
